Capture your event with professionally recorded and edited photographs and video using professional equipment and image creation specialist

This post outlines the typical scope of video and photography work I provide for Community, Personal, Family, and Charity Events of a 3-7 hour duration.

There is typically a single shooter for photographs and video to keep costs to a minimum.  For larger events, two shooters will be provided at an additional cost.

We endeavour to:

• Photograph and video the environment where appropriate (room/set).
• Photograph and video guests throughout the evening.
• Photograph speakers, Master of Ceremonies, and people to be recognised people as appropriate.
• Photograph closing celebrations within agreed hours.
• Capture video clips of speeches and presentations/awards.

We prioritise photography over video or vice versa depending on client instructions.

You will get a video of around 45-60 minutes. We cannot guarantee video capture of every activity or item on an agenda due to constraints on priorities, time and equipment.

We require a feed from the PA system to record good-quality audio for the video recording. Please confirm the following:

Audio:

  • We use an external audio recorder with XLR/TRS connectors. We require a line-level output from the PA system (a.k.a. Tape Out, Aux Out, Mix Out, or even the main Mono Out) and /or providing XLR connectors for my Sennheiser radio transmitter.
  • Not directly linking the zoom H5 or the Sennheiser via XLR will risk degrading the audio quality that will also be captured on a best-endeavor basis using an on-camera microphone.

Lighting:

We can provide video lights to improve video recording of speakers and the immediate surroundings where lighting conditions are challenging. This is at an additional cost.  For clarity:

  • We typically video using the lighting provided by the event organiser. This is usually fine as we use professional equipment that excels in low-light situations. It would be helpful for you to let me know how the set will be illuminated using ambient lighting, spotlights, or stage lighting.

Studio photography at your event

This can be accommodated at an additional cost. This comprises:

  • Studio backdrop
  • Studio flash equipment
  • Light shaping and modifiers for flattering portraits
  • Professional lenses and cameras
  • Professional image editing
  • Online portfolio gallery to share and purchase files and prints

Editing

Your photographs will be edited for colour temperature, cropped, and presented as high-definition files.

Video clips will be combined to provide a single video file.

Additional editing of the presented video incurs an additional cost.

Receiving your edited images

Your edited video and photographic files are provided via Dropbox.

  • A 45-minute edited video file will typically be more than 5GB
  • Individual image files are typically 8Mb

Original, unedited, video clips and photographs can be downloaded via Dropbox for a small charge.

A USB stick with your edited files incurs an additional charge of £17.50 per USB stick.

We do not normally produce DVDs of events.

Out of the camera, unedited video clips are deleted after one month.

Content for social media and your website

Our videos and photographs are often used to create and populate a website and for social media content. Our starter content creation service is described here.

I am happy to tailor content creation services for one-off and repeat posts for your specific requirements.  This can include website site design and support, and adding pages and functionality to existing WordPress websites.

Event images are used for marketing my services and include posting on my website and social media.  The event organiser is responsible for informing guests accordingly.

Ownership and use of images

Ownership of images and content remains with David P Stewart Photography.

Images are not to be resold, shared, or used as marketing assets by people or businesses other than my clients without the express permission of David P. Stewart Photography.
